About Us
Usaha Fadzilat (M) Sdn Bhd was established in 1987 with 13 ponds on a 70-acre property, focusing initially on tiger prawn farming, and later, Pacific white shrimp. In 1995, the business expanded with the incorporation of Hoi Huat Aquaculture Sdn Bhd, adding 50 acres of land. By 2001, an additional eight ponds were constructed, all fully operational. The group’s growth continued in 2005, as Usaha Fadzilat’s Phase 2 expansion added 15 more ponds, averaging 1.1 hectares each, reaching a total of 28 ponds by 2007. By 2015, they acquired another 1.6-hectare pond, subdividing it into four smaller ponds, bringing the total to 31 active ponds by 2016.

Research and development for milkfish (Chanos chanos) began in 2014 under the vision of the group founder Mr. Lim Tio Huat, who was committed to producing sustainable, high-quality seafood. By 2017, through dedication to sustainable practices, the group achieved successful rearing of high-quality milkfish without using any antibiotics or artificial growth hormones. Building on this achievement, the group diversified its operations, establishing Usaha Fadzilat Industries Sdn Bhd and setting up a factory for value-added processing and quick-frozen exports.

Today, we manage approximately 200 acres of aquaculture land with over 31 active ponds dedicated to our beloved milkfish. Through intensive research and development, we have achieved successful mass cultivation and commercial distribution in Malaysia, with exports reaching countries including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, Japan, and China. Our production capacity ranges from 2,000 to 3,000 tons annually. As one of Malaysia’s pioneering milkfish aquaculture farms, our mission is to make this nutritious, protein-rich fish accessible to every individual and family, a staple that has been cherished in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Taiwan for over 300 years.
